Escape to the island calm
Villa Sea Breeze Hailuoto is a quiet Nordic seaside villa in Sumppu, close to Marjaniemi and the open shores of the Bothnian Bay. It is made for guests who want more than accommodation. Sea air, silence, sauna, northern light, slow mornings and the rare feeling of being fully away.
Here, the days do not need to be filled. Walk the short sand path to the beach. Watch the light move across the dunes. Heat the private sauna after cold air or a long summer evening. Sit on the glassed terrace while the wind moves through the grass. Sleep deeply under the pale northern sky.
The villa is compact, warm and carefully equipped for up to four guests, with soft Nordic interiors, high-speed Wi-Fi, a private sauna, glassed terrace, balcony and spaces arranged across three levels. It suits couples, solo travellers, photographers, remote workers and small groups who value quiet, beauty and time.
Hailuoto is not a place to pass through. It is the reason to come. The longer you stay, the more the island begins to work on you.

A villa shaped by light, sauna and sea air
Inside Villa Sea Breeze, the house rises across three levels, each with its own quiet rhythm. Downstairs, the day slows into warmth. The glassed terrace opens towards the sea air, the sun deck waits outside, and the living space leads naturally to the bathroom, shower and private sauna. After the beach, the forest path or the winter wind, this is where the stay begins to feel different.
The middle floor is made for unhurried meals and long northern evenings. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen, sit at the dining table after sauna, step onto the balcony with the gas grill, or leave the door open for a while and let the air of Hailuoto move through the house. Nothing needs to happen quickly here.
Upstairs, the bedroom and small library nook offer a calmer, more private world beneath the roofline. From the bed, a small window gives a glimpse towards the sea. Blackout curtains soften the bright summer nights, and in winter the silence outside makes the room feel even more sheltered.
The villa is carefully equipped for comfort in every season, with high-speed Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine, air-source heat pump, books, games, soft textiles and simple Nordic materials. It is a place for rest, conversation, reading, sauna, sleep and the rare luxury of having time.

Discover Hailuoto’s coastal landscape
Villa Sea Breeze is surrounded by the open horizons of the Bothnian Bay, long sandy shores and the distinctive land uplift coastline that makes Hailuoto one of Finland’s most remarkable island environments. The area is known for wide skies, migrating birdlife, sea wind and northern light that changes constantly with the season and weather.
Located in Sumppu, close to Marjaniemi, the villa gives easy access to coastal trails, dunes, forest paths and the historic lighthouse area. This is a landscape defined by sea, wind and space rather than crowds. In summer, days open naturally into swimming, cycling, walking and long evenings outside. In autumn and winter, Hailuoto becomes more elemental, with storm watching, colder air, darker skies and the kind of quiet that is difficult to find in ordinary holiday places.
Hailuoto is part of a nationally significant natural environment, valued for its biodiversity, birdlife and traditional fishing culture. It is especially suited to walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers, photographers and travellers looking for peaceful seaside accommodation in Finland without the noise and pressure of busy tourist destinations.
Here, nature is not a backdrop. It is the reason to come. The villa belongs to this coastline, and the coastline gives the stay its character.
Out and about
Marjaniemi, with its iconic lighthouse and small harbour, is just moments from Villa Sea Breeze. The area brings together seaside cafés, seasonal dining, coastal viewpoints, nature trails and the old maritime atmosphere of Hailuoto’s western shore. From Sumppu, you can reach it by sand paths, forest routes or boardwalks, making even a short walk feel part of the island experience.
The beaches of Hailuoto are among the island’s great luxuries. With more than 30 kilometres of coastline, soft sandy shores and dunes shaped by wind and sea, there is space and calm even during the brighter summer months. Swim, cycle, walk by the water, visit the lighthouse, watch birds move across the open sky, or let the day remain simple. Visit Hailuoto describes the island as having over 30 kilometres of coastline lined with sandy beaches and dunes, with Marjaniemi as its most popular beach area.
For guests who want to add culture to the same journey, Oulu is within easy reach by ferry and car. In 2026, the city becomes European Capital of Culture, with festivals, exhibitions, food culture, music, museums and events across the northern region. Villa Sea Breeze is an excellent base for combining Hailuoto’s sea, silence and sauna with the cultural life of northern Finland.
